Operation Leviathan Results: Build the Carcass Front Battlefield
Share
Operation Leviathan has ended, but the Carcass Front will carry its scars into the battles ahead. Trench Crusade’s worldwide campaign concluded with an overall Faithful victory, leaving shattered defences, flooded settlements and wreck-strewn shores in its wake.
For hobbyists, that aftermath offers a compelling starting point for a new gaming table: coastal artillery overlooking broken hulls, muddy approaches leading into ruined strongpoints, and scattered warbands fighting over what remains.

Who Won Operation Leviathan?
The final campaign outcome was Faithful 4–3 Fallen, with one sector ending in stalemate. The published totals recorded 8,096 verified battles and 105 Decisive Battle events.
Victory did not mean safety everywhere. Fallen forces gained ground in the Northern and Central Sectors, while the Faithful secured advances elsewhere. New Antioch retained its hold over the Carcass Front, but the fighting and Leviathan’s emergence left the region badly damaged.
The campaign also brought a new Patron for Faithful warbands: Scaled Saint Bartolomeo, accompanied by new campaign options for his followers.

A Coastline Changed by War
One of the most striking consequences is the destruction around Alexandretta and the eastern Mediterranean. Flooded ports, stranded vessels and disrupted supply routes create a setting full of possibilities for narrative games.
A harbour raid might become a struggle to recover supplies from wreckage. A battered gun emplacement could overlook the only usable landing point. Survivors might defend a narrow route through the ruins while an enemy warband closes in.
These are ideas for your own games inspired by the campaign’s aftermath, rather than official scenarios.
Three Terrain Pieces for a Coastal Battlefield
Drowned Front Naval Gun
Use the Drowned Front Naval Gun as the visual centrepiece of a coastal defence position.
Build the surrounding scene with ammunition stores, damaged walls and muddy access routes. For a narrative game, the emplacement could become an objective to capture, sabotage or defend.

Drowned Front Ship Wrecks
The Drowned Front Ship Wrecks bring the ruined shoreline onto your table.
Arrange wreck sections around open approaches and narrow routes to suggest a harbour torn apart by war. Add scattered cargo and debris to turn the scene into a battlefield worth exploring.

Kraken Redoubt: The Great Anchor
The Kraken Redoubt: The Great Anchor gives a coastal board a distinctive landmark.
Set it among wreckage or beside a ruined dock to create a memorable meeting point, rallying position or narrative objective.
Bring the Aftermath to Your Table
You do not need to rebuild an entire coastline. Start with one focal piece, add smaller obstacles and leave enough space for your miniatures to move. Agree on terrain effects with your opponent before play.
DarkWarForge produces physical terrain to order in Hungary, within the European Union. The three featured pieces are supplied unpainted, giving you room to develop your own rusted, salt-stained battlefield.
