"The Resurgent-class Star Destroyer was the backbone of the First Order Navy, representing the next evolution of the iconic Imperial Star Destroyer. Measuring nearly 2.9 kilometers in length, it was almost twice the size of its Imperial predecessor and combined overwhelming firepower with a much larger starfighter complement and improved defensive systems. Role in the First Order
"Serving as the primary capital ship of the First Order, the Resurgent-class fulfilled multiple battlefield roles. It acted as a command ship, fleet carrier, planetary assault platform, and symbol of military dominance. These vessels spearheaded major campaigns during the First Order–Resistance War, transporting thousands of stormtroopers, walkers, starfighters, and heavy weapon systems. Notable ships of the class included the Finalizer, flagship of Kylo Ren and General Armitage Hux, and later the Steadfast, commanded by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren during the final stages of the conflict."
