The Servator-class Star Destroyer was a battlefield refit of the Venator-class Star Destroyer, created by Republic loyalist shipyards during the chaotic years following the rise of the Galactic Empire. Facing limited industrial resources and an urgent need for powerful capital ships, engineers transformed aging Venator hulls into heavily armed frontline warships capable of standing against increasingly powerful Imperial vessels.

Role in the Fleet
The Servator-class Star Destroyer served as a frontline battleship for Republic loyalist forces, providing the heavy firepower needed to challenge Imperial warships during prolonged fleet engagements. Rather than functioning primarily as a carrier like the Venator, the Servator was designed to engage enemy capital ships directly while leading smaller task forces into battle
